Tips for Voters
Posted by Brooklyn Young Republican Club
Tuesday, November 4th – ELECTION DAY is just around the corner.
Be sure to VOTE for McCain/Palin and the rest of the Brooklyn Republican ticket!
Polls will be open from 6 AM until 9 PM citywide. Remember a couple of things before you go to vote on Tuesday:
1. Know your poll site
You should make sure you know where you have to go to vote and which Election District (ED) you vote in. Visit http://gis.nyc.gov/vote/ps/index.htm in order to verify that information.
2. Double-check your voter registration
Make sure you double-check your voter registration. The Board of Elections has been inundated by new registrants, so it is possible that you are eligible to vote, though you may not have been added to their database. In the event that your name does not appear in the rolls when you go to vote but you know that you are eligible and duly registered to vote, be sure to ask to vote by affidavit ballot.
3. Avoid potentially long lines – vote off peak
The polls usually experience the heaviest traffic during 6 AM to 9 AM and 7 PM to 9 PM. Try to go during the middle of the day if possible for the fastest voting experience possible.
