RESOLUTION #3-2010 – Establishing a Standing Committee, the Brooklyn Young Republican Club Political Action Committee (BYRCPAC)

RESOLVED, by the Board of Directors of the Brooklyn Young Republican Club, That the Brooklyn Young Republican Club Political Action Committee (BYRCPAC) shall hereby be established for the purposes of overseeing and governing the funds of the Brooklyn Young Republicans Political Action Committee (BYRPAC) account, as registered with the New York State Board of Elections.

(a) Membership. Any member of the Club in good standing who contributes to the BYRPAC account shall hereby be appointed a member of BYRCPAC, who shall be fully entitled to vote at all meetings of the Committee. The Chair of BYRCPAC shall be the Vice President or his/her designee. The Executive Director of the Club shall serve as the Committee’s Secretary-Treasurer.

(b) Powers. All resolutions regarding appropriations of funds from BYRPAC shall be initiated in BYRCPAC and all adopted resolutions shall be submitted to the Board of Directors for final approval. No funds may be dispersed for any purposes by BYRCPAC without approval from the Board of Directors.

(c) Limitations. No appropriations resolution may be for any purposes other than (a) the direct political activities of a individual for public or party office or a ballot measure, including but not limited to the printing of literature, petitions, or advertisements; and (b) the direct solicitation and raising of funds for BYRPAC.
