Statement From BYRC President Glenn Nocera About New Club Vice President Daniel Nizza
Posted by Brooklyn Young Republican Club
Dear Club Members,
I just wanted to update all of you on some recent club events involving the office of the Vice President. As many of you may already know a new administration was elected into office on June 5, 2011. However on June 20, 2011 our Vice President Roy Antoun decided to submit his letter of resignation for personal reasons. Mr. Antoun still continues to be an important and vital member to our club, and we still continue to value his expertise and experience. On June 26, after taking some time to think about who would be a good fit to fill the role of Vice President, our board of directors and I decided to nominate club member Daniel Nizza to become our next Vice President.
Mr. Nizza has been a member of our club since 2010. Dan is a native New Yorker and has family roots in New York City dating back well over 200 years. Dan has been a law enforcement officer for the City University of New York since 2002 and is assigned as an emergency response team officer. He is also an enlisted member of the New York Army National Guard as an infantry soldier and is assigned to the famous “fighting Sixty-Ninth”. Dan has a long history of giving back to his community and has volunteered with the Guardian Angels, Boy Scouts of America, New York State Guard and the New York City Auxiliary Police. Dan is pursuing a B.A. in criminal Justice from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and has an extensive law enforcement training background from several federal, state and local agencies.
I think with Mr. Nizza’s law enforcement and military background that he will bring the necessary leadership and professionalism to the Brooklyn Young Republican Club as he has demonstrated throughout his professional career, to fulfill his duties as this club’s Vice President.
Welcome aboard Mr. Nizza.
Glenn P. Nocera
President
