Founded in 1880, the Brooklyn Young Republican Club is the oldest Young Republican Club in America. We are a non-profit membership organization that has been an influential advocate for Republican values in our borough and beyond.

Our first President of the Club was Seth Low (1880-1881) who later became Mayor of  Brooklyn (1881-1885), President of Columbia University, (1890-1901) and Mayor of New York City (1902-1903). Over the years past Presidents of the United States have addressed our club, like Presidents William Mckinley, Teddy Roosevelt, William H. Taft, and Herbert Hoover, and Presidential Candidates like Wedelle Wilke back in 1940.

As of 2008, the Brooklyn Young Republican Club represents over 40,000 registered Republicans between the ages of 18 and 40 and other young Brooklynites who share our principles and our common cause for better government–everywhere.
