Before we finalize the details, we thought we would give YOU the option of when you would like the event to be! Come and celebrate the start of another year with the Brooklyn Young Republicans! Join the officers who have been re-elected for the next term: President Jonathan Judge, Vice President Samuel Rivera, Secretary Christina Bennett, and Treasurer Glenn Nocera along with the rest of the Brooklyn YR team for a casual evening with friends.

This year, instead of a boring meeting, join us at Italian wine lounge and restaurant Pane & Vino at 174 Smith Street, Brooklyn (right off the F/G Bergen Street Stop).

Enjoy some Italian appetizers, share a bottle of wine with us as we discuss the many Republican primaries in New York State and how to build up our party locally. We will also have petitions available to sign for candidates and to distribute for those of you who wish to help put qualified reform Republican candidates on the ballot.

Since this is a relaxed gathering, just look for people wearing buttons with our logo to find your fellow club members, if you don’t happen to recognize everyone. We’ll also have some appetizers on the club to celebrate another year of reforming government and our party in Brooklyn!

Plus, if you join or renew your membership for 2010 between today and that night, a glass of wine or drink of your choice is on us!

So stop in and help us put government and our party on the right track!

Come To Support Jonathan Judge Wednesday at Jewish Press Candidate Forum!

The Jewish Press, America’s largest independent Jewish weekly, will host a debate between candidates for the New York City Council seat vacated by Simcha Felder.

As you know, our most recent President Jonathan Judge is running in that race!

Many of the Brooklyn YRs have been out supporting one of their own, and we hope you’ll all come out and support him.

The debate will take place Wednesday, February 24, 7 pm, at the Boro Park YMHA at 4910 14^th Ave. in Brooklyn.

Jonathan will be answering questions from a panel of Jewish Press reporters and editors, from the audience, and from residents who have submitted questions in advance.

Let’s come out to support Jonathan and let our voice be heard!

Lucretia Regina-Potter Named “Woman of the Year”

Lucretia Regina-Potter, 49th AD Candidate and 49th AD Republican District Leader, has been named Woman of the Year by the Cantamare 2010 organization for her ”professional achievements and humanitarian contributions.”

In the letter of nomination, Mrs. Regina-Potter, was informed that she had been selected for her “passionate devotion to the welfare of those in need and your outstanding leadership in establishing positive alternatives for our youth. You are much admired and respected as an exceptional role model in our community. Your acceptance would provide much needed inspiration for our youth and volunteers in their continued work to improve quality of life.”

The ceremony will take place on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at The Grand Prospect Hall in Brooklyn. For further information and reservations, please call (718) 256-4414.

The Brooklyn Young Republican Club cordially invites you to our 2nd Annual Christmas/Hanukkah Party on Monday, December 21, 2009, 1511 10th Avenue, Windsor Terrace, at 7:00 PM.

Join us again this year for our Christmas/Hanukkah Party, which includes Food, Open Bar/Soda, Dessert, Music, and holiday cheer with all of your friends and colleagues in the Brooklyn Young Republican Club!
