At 6:30 PM, we start off with a happy hour fundraiser for the Brooklyn Young Republicans Political Action Committee (BYRPAC), which provides crucial funding for getting Young Republicans the support they need to seek public and party office.

Then, at 7:30 PM, we will start the business portion of our meeting, which will feature our renowned Brooklyn YR Grassroots Workshop. This brief but comprehensive workshop will help teach you:

• How politics and elections work in New York State
• How to run for public and party office
• How to organize people for political purposes
• How you can become a Republican State Committee Member/District Leader or a Republican County Committee Member to fight for reform and Republican principles in the still too-blue borough of Brooklyn
• And much more in advance of the crucial 2012 elections!

Happy New Year, Young Republicans!

Start off the new year right! Join us at our meeting coming up on Wednesday, January 20th at the Montauk Club, 25 8th Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11217

Starting at 6:30 PM, join us in supporting the Red Cross and the relief effort in Haiti at our Cocktail Fundraising Hour for Humanity. All proceeds will be donated to the Red Cross specifically for aid to Haiti. Includes drinks and light fare.

Then at 7:30 PM, we will kick off our meeting with some of the top issues of the new year, including hearing from Mike Grimm, one of the Republican candidates for the 13th Congressional district, and the Special Election in the 44th Council District, in which our own BYRC President Jonathan Judge will be a candidate. We will also discuss the outcome of the Special Election in Massachusetts to fill the vacancy in the U.S. Senate seat.

On Thursday, November 12, 2009, at 7 PM , come to the luxurious and historic Montauk Club, located at 25 8th Avenue in Brooklyn.

Join us as we usher in the 2010 campaign season with Lucretia Regina-Potter, 49th Assembly District candidate, at our “Meet the Candidate” Fundraiser Reception at 7 PM.  Join us and Lucretia for some cocktails, a bite to eat and an excellent discussion about a very winnable race in the 49th Assembly District!
